Poor diet is a well-established risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Researchers have also associated factors such as excessive alcohol consumption and obesity with an increased risk. In 2012, Alzheimer’s Australia launched the Your Brain Matters program which has an array of information about maintaining a healthy diet to boost brain health.
